Ball Lamp Shade

Recycled items

  • Drum-shape lampshade

  • 70-75 plastic play balls

    Also needed

  • Glue gun and glue bullets

  • Spray paint (colour of your own choice)

  • Lampstand to place shade on

  1. To make this lampshade, I used a paper shade that has a height of 30cm and a diameter of 22 cm, and for this I used around 70 to 75 plastic balls. This is an ideal project to get rid of baby toys.

  2. Place the shade onto a solid surface and start to glue the balls onto the paper shade using your glue gun. Some will pop from the glue’s heat, but you can easily replace it with another one.

  3. When the whole shade is covered, place it in a well-ventilated area and start to spray paint everything the same colour. (Remember to use a dust mask when you use spray paint.)

  4. Place it onto a modern lampstand for your teenager’s room.
