• flat-bottomed wire hanging basket (26-cm diameter)

• hessian (from potato sack)

Also needed

• fabric scissors

• wallpaper glue (250 ml)

Method

1. Unhook the chain from the basket and set it aside.

2. Measure the hessian around the wire basket and cut away any excess fabric.

3. Cover the outer frame of the basket in the following manner: fold the hessian over the basket rim and use your hands to cover the hessian with glue, then glue it to itself to form a seam. Stretch the hessian down over the frame and attach it at the base. Use more glue if necessary.

4. Leave the basket to dry for about 8 hours.
