I inherited a set of clear plates. If you can lay your hands on some, grab them because you will always be able to use them. Glue fabric or paper to the bottom side of the plate for an instant new look. You can use modge podge or wallpaper glue. For more detail, glue a piece of cotton lace around the border. Place it in water when you want to get rid of the fabric and start all over again for a new look.
