I am a collector of beautiful silver ware and will go the extra mile to clean and fix it.  If you have no success in restoring it, then I suggest that you spray paint it. Wash it in warm soapy water and allow to dry.

Always remember to work in a well-ventilated area and to wear a mask when spray painting.  Use a  big cardboard box and place your object inside by doing this you make less mess..   Remember to check that you are using a spray paint that is suitable for metal.   Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the spray bottle.

I normally spray paint a lot of light layers instead of one heavy layer to prevent it from dripping. Allow to dry overnight
