Make your own advent calendar from old tins and left over fabric. Decorate the tins with pretty homemade numbers. Place the surprises inside the tin and fasten it with a ribbon. You can hang these tins all the way down the staircase in numerical order. The most difficult thing about this project is to keep those little inquisitive hands away from the treats.
